On November 15 I was a guest on the "Crime and Punishment" radio show with Mike McIntyre for the second time, sharing my take on my recent termination from the witness protection program. Download as an mp3 [5.2 MB - 15 min] or or use the player below to listen to the show without advertising.

I received another letter dated November 5, stating that S/Sgt. Harding is continuing his interviews of A/Commissioner Cabana, Inspector Williams, S/Sgt. Hayre (Retd), S/Sgt. Barrett and Cpl. Comea (Retd). He has also read my book as I requested. Here is a pdf of the scanned letter:

The RCMP wants me out of the Witness Protection Program

The Ottawa Citizen has a new article about me. Unfortunately, it is because the RCMP recently sent me a termination notice in an attempt to have me kicked out of the Witness Protection Program. Full details in Gary Dimmock's article.
In the past few months since the release of my book Treacherous I have had many people ask why I wrote it; some have assumed I did it for money, some think for the moment in the spotlight, many in the RCMP think it was out of bitterness. I am writing this article today so that those who are interested can hear the truth from me and not have to speculate or suppose any longer.
It is simple, I wrote Treacherous to bring truth to the public and more specifically; to my family, my friends and the victims family.
It is a fact that I participated in the killing of Sean Simmons, I will even go as far as saying that I do not believe that Sean would have been killed on October 3, 2000 if it were not for my actions. Having said that I do not believe he would have been killed on October 3, 2000 if it were not for the actions of the RCMP as well.
Lets look at the actions and consequences to the others involved in this murder:
I just received a letter from the Commission for Public Complaints Against the RCMP (CPC) (link at bottom) in response to my second formal complaint. I am not even sure what to say to it.
I guess I could ask what was going through their heads to think that the RCMP might actually say something different than they have in court or in any of the previous investigations.
I guess I could ask what was going through their heads to think that the RCMP would be impartial in investigating themselves.
I guess I could ask what was going through their heads to think that this is any more than an absolute waste of tax dollars.
Why not just have a public inquiry that gives the RCMP a chance to show the public just how right they were in this matter?
I would suggest you follow the link below to an article from about one month ago before you go on to read their response.
The following is a copy of the “Chair's Final Report” that addresses the disposition of a complaint I made against the RCMP in the summer of 2001. When I made the complaint I had very little knowledge of what took place behind the scenes with the RCMP, I just knew something was not right. In the coming years and through both the criminal and civil trials that followed, I was able to obtain hundreds of internal RCMP documents, some of which I gave to Mr. Kennedy for his review.
The allegation that is at the center of this report is very specific and can be found on page two.
In looking at it objectively as possible, knowing that I do come at this with some presuppositions, I can only somewhat agree with Mr. Kennedy's conclusions.
I will save my opinion of this report for now as I have filed a new complaint which I have also included here; I will address this one and if need be the new one after I have received a response from the commission.

I can say after seeing Mike in his twenties, thirties and forties that he has aged gracefully; much more graceful than myself.
I could share with you many stories of Mike that have made the news over the years, some good and some not so good, however I am going to stick to sharing a little of what I know of Mike as a person and then a little of his involvement in Sean Simmons' murder.
