In the past few months since the release of my book Treacherous I have had many people ask why I wrote it; some have assumed I did it  for money, some think for the moment in the spotlight, many in the RCMP think it was out of bitterness. I am writing this article today so that those who are interested can hear the truth from me and not have to speculate or suppose any longer.

It is simple, I wrote Treacherous to bring truth to the public and more specifically; to my family, my friends and the victims family.

It is a fact that I participated in the killing of Sean Simmons, I will even go as far as saying that I do not believe that Sean would have been killed on October 3, 2000 if it were not for my actions. Having said that I do not believe he would have been killed on October 3, 2000 if it were not for the actions of the RCMP as well.

Lets look at the actions and consequences to the others involved in this murder:

Neil Smith - Ordered the killing of Sean Simons - Life Sentence

Wayne James - Orchestrated the killing of Sean Simmons - Life Sentence

Steven Gareau - Tracked Sean down & opened the door for the killer - Life Sentence

Dean Kelsie - Shot and killed Sean Simmons - Life Sentence

Tina Potts - Supplied gloves and destroyed evidence - Contract on life her & living in Witness Protection

Myself - Tracked Sean down, drove car in murder and destroyed evidence - Contract on my life & living in Witness Protection

RCMP - Ignored Intel about the murder, put surveillance on killers and victim & allowed the murder by doing nothing to stop it - No consequence

 Criminal Negligence

Criminal negligence
Not necessarily doing something to cause harm, but to fail to prevent harm when you could have.
219. (1) Every one is criminally negligent who

(a) in doing anything, or

(b) in omitting to do anything that it is his duty to do,

shows wanton or reckless disregard for the lives or safety of other persons.

Definition of "duty"
(2) For the purposes of this section, "duty" means a duty imposed by law.

It is my desire that in telling this story I might catch the attention of someone who will hold the RCMP accountable and see to it that the changes needed are made so this does not happen again. I once believed that those changes might be made through Assistant Commissioner Mike Cabana, however it seems that it will take more than a high ranking member of the force to convince his colleagues to take responsibility for their actions.
